My experience for my 23rd birthday was unforgettable! The staff and and service manager were so kind and helpful with any questions we had about the menu! The food was delicious and we would definitely return again! Kylie was our server and bartender and she was amazing with her kind service and bartending skills! If you want a good night out definitely come to La Malbec!
A FANTASTIC experience! The food, the service and the atmosphere were all ON POINT! The owner was engaging with the customers like the "old school" restaurants used to. Definitely a stop EVERY time I will be in town.
We came here for our anniversary and everything was delicious. We ordered truffle fries and the chicken empanadas to start and then had the angus beef tenderloin with sautéed mushroom and onions. Great atmosphere and service. Our sever Lauren K was the best! We will be back soon!
We had such a wonderful experience! From start to finish, everything felt thoughtful and genuine. The staff was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the food was absolutely outstanding — beautifully presented and full of flavor. We were celebrating our anniversary, and to our surprise, they brought out a complimentary dessert to help us celebrate. It was such a sweet gesture and made the night feel extra special. Little touches like that really show how much they care about their guests. The atmosphere was cozy but refined, perfect for a date night or special occasion. We’ll definitely be back — and next time, we’re bringing friends so they can experience it too!
My boyfriend brought me here after church. We had their brunch menu. The food was divine! Totally would recommend for their service, atmosphere, pricing, and food taste and presentation. It’s a high class feel for reasonable prices.
My husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at a restaurant we had never been to before. I chose "La Malbec Bar and Restaurant" in Bloomsburg. If you're looking for a night out with your significant other or friends, this is definity the spot! Food and atmosphere is amazing! Great experience all around. Staff were all extremely friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and yet upscale. Food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Steak...mmm, Yes! It was the best steak we've had out ever. Seafood risotto—creamy rice, shrimp, scallops, and lobster pieces... I don't know what spices they use, but everything is very balanced and sooo delicious! I would like to mention our waitress Emily. A charming, smiling girl! Fast and polite service. Emily came to our table several times throughout the evening to ask if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. Bartender Patrick makes delicious cocktails! The Smoked Old Fashioned was smooth with a long, pleasant aftertaste, and my Aperol Spritz was a classic, refreshing treat, just as it should be. I would especially like to highlight the chef, Andres. He is a true professional who clearly loves what he does, and his passion shines through not only in the flavors of the dishes but also in the way he talks about them. It was a real pleasure that Andres personally came to our table several times to chat with us, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm. His warmth and dedication made the dining experience feel all the more special. It was our first time at this restaurant, but the entire staff treated us as if we were friends. We definitely recommend it and will definitely be back!
Staff was very friendly. My espresso Martina was fantastic as was my wife's blueberry mojito. We both had the seafood bisque. She had pan seared scallops, I had seafood risotto. The food was very delicious!! And since it was my birthday they gave me a creme brulee on the house!! Everything was so good!! Definitely will eat there again!

Brunch at Lamalbec today was nothing short of perfection. Every detail—from the food to the service—was thoughtfully executed and truly memorable. The filets were cooked exactly as requested: juicy, tender, and perfectly done. The potatoes struck that ideal balance of tender on the inside with a crispy exterior, the onions were beautifully caramelized, and the scrambled eggs were just the way we love them—soft, creamy, and seasoned to absolute perfection. We finished with strawberry crêpes that were light, fresh, and stunningly presented—an absolute delight both visually and in flavor. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch. Chef Andres came to our table himself and brought me a special bowl of his French onion soup to make up for one that hadn’t been made correctly by a different chef on a previous visit. That soup was phenomenal—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. Even more impressive, he returned again to personally ensure we were completely satisfied. This was hands-down one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. Lamalbec exemplifies what exceptional dining should be, and we will most definitely be back again.
If you are looking for a restaurant that is truly a class above anything else in Central Pennsylvania, you must visit La Malbec. Jason and I went for dinner hoping to find something a little more upscale, and this place absolutely blew us away. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was beautiful—homey yet elegant, fun yet sophisticated. The décor is stunning, and the attention to detail makes the entire experience feel special. Our waitress, Sue, gave fantastic recommendations, and we started with the shrimp shooters—light, flavorful, and a fun start to the meal. The menu was so incredible we couldn’t pick just two entrées, so we ordered three! The duck l’orange came with the best Brussels sprouts we’ve ever had, the lamb chops were perfectly tender with a phenomenal mint sauce and mushroom risotto, and the corvina topped with lump crab meat and pea & corn risotto was light, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were spot-on, and we paired dinner with a Malbec and a Sauvignon Blanc—both perfect with the meal. Dessert sealed the deal: the chocolate cake was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, (think Lava cake) and the bread pudding was fantastic. The chef even came by our table, and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Roxanna, who was so warm and welcoming. Sue also showed us the outdoor deck, which looks like an incredible spot in warmer weather. This restaurant is truly something special. It is hands down a class above anything else in Central Pennsylvania, and we cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back!
